Singapore Airlines – Singapore uses SAP R/3 as their business application spread across 5 departments some of them as different subsidiaries of Singapore Airlines. All departments worked on a central database in R/3 specifically pertaining to the needs of that particular department which was connected by a WAN. For example; the purchase department works on the finance modules of the SAP R/3 and the Logistics department works on the infrastructure and constructions modules, we can see that each department’s data is confined within each.
