Ultimately, DotSphere Reporting adds business reporting capabilities to any existing IBM DB2 Content Manager Solution.

Once implemented, you can:

  • Generate reports using data collected from DB2 Content Manager
  • Use Workflow Engines like WPS, MQWorkflow (must be using the DotSphere client)
  • Align your line of business applications via the collector interface

Offer capabilities for users to view, download, share, schedule, and subscribe to reports. Use existing report templates as they are or as a starting point for new reports. Design new reports and make those reports available to users.

Commonly required pre-made report templates:

  • A Report Designer for designing report templates using your business data
  • A Report Client to provide users access to report templates, enabling them to view, build, share and schedule reports on their own.
  • A Report Administration Console to aid administrators in managing report templates and monitoring the health and status of the report system.
  • Data collection components for gathering and storing business data from Content Manager and other applications.
